We are now recruiting hourly staff for our residential facilities that serve people with substance abuse and/or psychosocial difficulties as well as people with disabilities. We are recruiting for several different workplaces, so there is some variation in the qualifications we require for the positions. Working at our residential facilities or providing housing support in social apartments involves a fast pace and great variety in tasks. Our employees work on schedules including weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Solo work may occur. We work in clients' homes where smoking and animals may be present. Job Duties Supported Housing: We work motivatingly and supportively with the individual in their efforts to manage an independent life, and to achieve this we work with, among other things, ESL. All clients shall have an implementation plan with goals and reasonable sub-goals developed together with the client based on the individual's own circumstances and the assignment formulated by the social worker. We have different types of supported housing: Housing First, Support and Housing Team, Supported Family Housing, Sköldenborg, Malmögatan, Plutogatan 11, Carnot, Elineberg, and Fenix. Housing with Special Services: The tasks performed include both social support, activation and motivational work, as well as basic services such as support with cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene, food and meal planning. HSL services in collaboration with and delegated by nursing staff occur. The activities include individual planning, offering social contact with the individual, and enabling cultural and recreational activities. Care and support services also occur here. We have two residential facilities: BSS Maria Sol and Plutogatan 9. Assessment Housing: The tasks performed include both social support, activation and motivational work, as well as basic services such as support with cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene, food and meal planning. HSL services in collaboration with and delegated by nursing staff occur. The activities include individual planning, offering social contact with the individual, and enabling cultural and recreational activities. At the assessment housing facility, clients' support needs are mapped. Our assessment housing facility is located at Hebsackersgatan. Qualifications for Supported Housing - Education as a social pedagogue or treatment pedagogue, treatment assistant, social worker or equivalent with at least two years of post-secondary education, or currently pursuing such education - Knowledge of substance abuse and dependency and/or knowledge of social psychiatry - Experience working with substance abuse issues and/or social psychiatry in some form through work or internship Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Qualifications for Housing with Special Services - Education as a support assistant, care worker, nursing assistant or equivalent, or currently pursuing such education - You must perform delegated HSL tasks in your work. You will receive internal training and take a knowledge test when you begin your employment - Experience in psychiatric care and social psychiatry with focus on adults - Experience in substance abuse care For all positions, you must have a Class B driver's license and be willing to drive. Residential Support Worker at Laban Short-Term Home - Temporary Position
We are looking for a residential support worker interested in working with us at Laban short-term home as a temporary/casual staff member. As a casual worker, you fill in when regular staff are sick or on vacation. Children and young people come to our short-term home after their daily activities (school, after-school care, and day programs). Most stay at the short-term home one week per month and spend time with friends and staff. Your Responsibilities Short-term residential stays outside the home (short-term home) are services provided under Section 9, Paragraph 6 of the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). As a residential support worker at Laban short-term home, you work to support, motivate, and encourage children and young people to develop their own ability to perform daily living activities, as well as create conditions for an active and meaningful life. You work based on an implementation plan that we develop together with the child/young person according to our mandate. This can involve social, structural, or communicative support, or other individualized support in daily living. We take trips and outdoor activities with the children and young people, and we visit cultural events. Contact with guardians and other networks is part of the work and is an important element. We are looking for temporary staff primarily for weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from a Health and Care Program, Children and Recreation Program, support assistant training, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Post-secondary education in the field of disabilities also qualifies you to apply. We also want you to have several years of documented work experience in this field. It should feel natural for you to work using a low-affective approach, to meet children and young people with challenging behavior, and to use alternative communication as support. Since we take trips in our minibus, it is a merit if you have a Class B driver's license.
