Together with the teacher, you will plan and structure the school day based on customized pedagogy that provides predictability and security. You will be present as support by the students' side throughout the entire school day—during lessons, breaks, and any leisure activities. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate students to develop their abilities and create opportunities for learning. Your tasks also include some documentation. About Haga VIP Nytida Haga VIP is a school in Solna. The school serves young people with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability. Currently, a total of 22 students attend the school. Our students study subject areas and individual programs at the secondary level. At Haga VIP, 21 employees work in various professions with different competencies and experiences. We are a small school in terms of numbers but relatively large in terms of space. We have small teaching groups and very high staff density. We are experts in flexible individual solutions for our target group and value driven and engaged employees who want to help develop our operations together. At Haga VIP, we see each student's strengths and abilities. We work based on the student's needs to support them toward as independent a life as possible. Teaching and other activities during the school day are completely individualized based on the student's abilities, strengths, needs, and condition. Your Experience and Knowledge We assume that you who apply to us: • Have a positive outlook and strong commitment to people • Are responsible and have personal maturity • Enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues You have at least secondary education in care and health or childcare/children and leisure, or other education deemed equivalent. It is a merit if you have experience working with the target group, students with neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or developmental disabilities. Knowledge and experience with challenging behavior, use of clarifying pedagogy, and experience with communication aids such as sign language and PECS are merits. It is important that you are confident in yourself and your role as we work with young people with serious behavioral disorders and largely externalized behaviors. Low-affective approach and experience with challenging behavior are merits. Clarity, flexibility, and responsiveness are very important at our school. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For us, competence is as much about potential, values, and motivation as it is about education, experience, and factual knowledge. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise your CV is not the most important thing.
