About the Assignment As a treatment assistant, you work closely with young people in their daily lives and help create security, structure, and predictability. You meet each young person based on their individual needs and support them both in everyday situations and in working toward long-term goals. Our young people have different needs and circumstances. Many have social difficulties combined with neuropsychiatric diagnoses, and acting-out behavior and anxiety problems can occur. Therefore, your ability to remain calm, secure, and professional even in challenging situations is an important part of the role. Together with your colleagues, you work to help young people develop, find their strengths, and gain better conditions to succeed. You also collaborate with schools, social services, and guardians. An important part of the work is to follow young people's implementation plans, document their development, and contribute to keeping the treatment work clear and structured. Position Information: Employment Type: Hourly Position Location: Sölvesborg Working Hours: Around-the-clock shifts, weekdays and weekends Start Date: Immediately or by agreement Requirements: Work experience from similar assignments with children/young people within the target group Ongoing or completed education of at least 2 years in social work or behavioral science Fluency in Swedish, spoken and written Class B driver's license (manual) Meritorious: Training and/or experience in low-arousal approaches and handling threatening and violent situations Educations or short courses adapted for neuropsychiatry or other aspects of the described target group Knowledge in visual support pedagogy (Teacch, AKK, TAKK, or equivalent) Basic knowledge in BBIC/IBIC Experience with various documentation systems and quality management systems Personal Qualities: We believe you are someone who approaches your assignment with heart and great commitment. You make young people feel both seen and respected by being able to set necessary boundaries while showing care and compassion. You remain calm during stressful or challenging situations and can in a calm and professional manner slow down, redirect, divert, and motivate young people when needed. You are aware of your own role in the interaction and understand how your approach affects young people's feelings and behaviors. You are driven by seeing them grow and develop and work purposefully to support them in their planned steps forward.
