Work in outpatient care includes, for example, conducting clinic visits, participating in team rounds within oxygen/ventilator care and within cancer care. Other common duties include performing pulmonary procedures, such as bronchoscopy, EBUS, and chest tube drainage. Furthermore, work in inpatient care focuses on care related to hospitalized lung patients. In addition to this, there is ongoing development work within the pulmonology field. In addition to the aforementioned duties, you will also supervise resident physicians. The clinic offers: Good terms and excellent conditions for, for example, research. Competitive salary. A highly stimulating workplace with a dedicated team. No on-call duties. The atmosphere at the clinic is welcoming and pleasant! About the clinic: To function as a physician at the clinic, continuous collaboration with other staff is necessary – administrator, medical secretaries, nursing assistants, and nurses in both outpatient and inpatient care. Physicians and nursing staff work together during certain patient visits and collaborate on clinic-wide issues/improvement work. Currently, physicians in pulmonology have no on-call or standby duties. However, there is a plan to introduce on-call services in the future. The Infectious Diseases and Pulmonology Clinic is a regional clinic with approximately 120 employees. We have operations within infectious diseases, pulmonology, and specialized adult allergology. Chief Physician, Otolaryngology (ENT)

Visby Hospital has a broad healthcare mission and provides Gotland with acute and planned specialist care. The island location requires the resources of a large hospital while simultaneously offering the proximity and community feel of a smaller one. A wide range of services are represented within both surgical and medical specialties. The ENT department is responsible for ear, nose, and throat care for Gotland's approximately 60,000 residents and handles around 7,000 visits per year. Operations are conducted in close collaboration with other surgical specialties, the dermatology clinic, and the Oral and Maxillofacial Center. We strive to maintain as much ENT care as possible at Visby Hospital. We have well-established cooperation with Stockholm and regular consulting physicians in tumor surgery, otologic surgery, plastic surgery, audiology, and phoniatrics. Patients requiring highly specialized care are referred primarily to Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm. The ENT department has six chief physician positions and is currently undergoing a generational transition. Today we are a young team with three chief physicians, two specialist physicians, and two residents, along with several regular locum physicians who provide on-call coverage and bring inspiration and knowledge. The department has an open culture and is characterized by good collaboration, strong commitment, and humility. Are you interested in changing environments and trying something new? Working together with a young, cohesive, and courageous team? Taking a break from the daily grind and trading overtime for time off? Then this position is for you! Your Responsibilities Since on-call duty is our single most important mission, it is important that you have experience from 24/7 healthcare, on-call work experience within the last five years, and can immediately join the on-call roster. If you have a subspecialization, there is room to work with and develop it. In addition to routine acute and planned outpatient services, we have 1.5 days of operative work per week and two days of clinic-based procedures, primarily skin tumors. ENT on-call has home on-call status (standby A), and the hospital's junior physicians in medicine/surgery serve as our primary on-call physicians. Who Are You? Swedish medical license and specialist competence in ENT is required. We seek someone with interest and commitment to developing the department. You have solid experience in basic ENT surgical procedures and are positive about developing, training, and mentoring residents in your specialty and general practitioners in related fields. Strong collaboration skills with other professions and specialties are highly valued, and we place great importance on personal suitability. Due to an upcoming retirement, we offer a permanent position. There is great flexibility, and part-time arrangements are also of interest. Research opportunities can be discussed and are linked to collaboration with the regional clinic. Background checks via criminal record registry excerpts will be conducted before employment decisions. Why Choose Region Gotland? We are the island's largest employer—with over 200 different professions and 7,000 employees in Sweden's only combined regional and municipal administration. Together, we develop a sustainable, secure, and thriving Gotland for everyone who lives on and visits the island. Gotland offers a rich cultural life, magnificent nature, and a creative entrepreneurial spirit. Over 61,000 people have chosen to call Gotland home year-round.
