Would you like to work with high quality, good continuity, and in a committed team?
At our health center Wisby Söder on Gotland, we actively work to develop Good and Nearby Care.
Innovation, collaboration, and a sustainable work environment are central parts of our approach. Region Gotland has adopted an action plan with a target of 1100 registered patients per physician, and from 2026 all our patient lists will be weighted toward 1100. All to create better conditions for both patients and staff. Here you have the opportunity to work with your own patient list, with dedicated phone hours, and also drive development forward in the general practice direction in an innovative and constructive way.
We are now seeking a specialist physician in general medicine who wants to help continue developing our operations.
The health center has approximately 15,000 registered patients and around 40 staff members. Active improvement work is conducted here with a focus on efficient working methods, continuity of care, person-centered care, and a sustainable work environment.
We value education for our ST, AT/BT, and medical students, and we had very good results in the latest SPUR review.

Regular work as a general practice specialist in an interdisciplinary team.
Opportunity to work with physician services at assisted living facilities, short-term care, and home healthcare.

Certain on-call shifts at our weekend clinic and on-call availability from home in evenings, nights, and weekends are included.
We offer
A well-functioning committed work group.
Good conditions for work-life balance.
Structured working methods and administrative support.
Opportunities for competence development and further training.
Opportunity to influence working methods, scheduling, and business development.
Collegial dialogue, internal consultation, and structured meeting formats.
Active work on quality, patient safety, and development.
A workplace on Gotland - with proximity to nature, sea, and high quality of life.
