WORK TASKS In your role as a nurse, you design care based on a person-centered approach. You are expected to lead the nursing work together with nursing assistants/caregivers. Business Description The Section for Support and Prevention consists of three units in total: AST and Preventive Services, LSS-Children and Youth, and LSS-Adults. The AST and Preventive Services unit consists of four support handlers, one family coordinator, two family consultants, two outreach workers, and one coordinator. The AST and Preventive Services unit is responsible for prevention work and, based on current legislation, investigating and deciding on services within the disability field. About the Work The AST team is responsible for investigating and deciding on services under two statutes, the LSS and the Social Services Act (SoL). The target group is people between 18-64 years old with an autism diagnosis without concurrent intellectual disability. As a support handler in the AST team, you investigate, among other things, services such as housing support, contact person assistance, daily activities, and housing with special services. As an employee with us, you are expected to participate in the unit's development work, which may include improving or proposing new working methods, implementing new routines, and contributing to skills development. The work is independent and requires the ability to make your own decisions. You have your own delegation for several services. The role includes making decisions, conducting regular follow-ups, and ensuring that the right decision is made at the right time. For support in daily work, colleagues, managers, and a business lawyer are available. Weekly case review meetings are held where you have the opportunity to discuss various issues and cases with your closest colleagues. We also offer external supervision. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker or has another relevant university degree that the employer considers equivalent, for example, a degree in psychology, sociology, or behavioral science, which also includes some form of law like social work education does. To be successful in the role of support handler, you need to be stable and secure in yourself, contribute to a good cooperation climate, and be empathetic and clear in your interactions with service users. It is also important that you have good judgment and that you drive your work in a structured and independent manner. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
