Our Operations The Pharmaceutical Safety unit is part of the Use Business Area and has a central responsibility for safety monitoring of human medicines. We handle reported suspected adverse events and conduct signal detection to identify new safety risks early. The unit processes large amounts of information about suspected adverse events from both Sweden and the rest of Europe. Our mission is to contribute to safe and appropriate medicine use by quickly absorbing and implementing new knowledge. The work involves extensive contacts with other units at the Medical Products Agency, healthcare, authorities, and companies, both nationally and internationally. Our operations are based on a preparedness perspective with stable working methods in both normal circumstances and during crisis and war. The importance of this became particularly clear during the Covid-19 pandemic, when the volume of adverse event reports increased significantly and the unit bore major responsibility in vaccine monitoring. In recent years, we have invested considerable effort in further developing our working methods to more effectively contribute to the Medical Products Agency's important mission. Your Tasks As group manager, you are responsible for the signal group, one of the unit's three groups, and lead the group's work according to established routines and processes. You have personnel responsibility for the team members and monitor the group's activities, output, and collaborations with regular check-ins with both employees and the unit manager. The signal group has several important internal and external contact points, and you are responsible for ensuring these relationships function well, develop, and are strengthened as needed. Together with the managers of the adverse event groups, you work to ensure harmonized working methods across all three groups, both in regular operations and when implementing new routines. The team works according to three assignments: Meet individuals who have attempted suicide and support them and their loved ones. Support for bereaved individuals after completed suicide. Educate and mentor on suicide. Work Tasks As an employee in Mobile Resources Suicide Prevention, you will have an independent and responsible role with great scope to plan and carry out your interventions based on the individual's needs. The first contact with the patient takes place within 48 hours of activation. Subsequent follow-up is then planned together with the patient and, when relevant, also with close ones. Your Workplace Close Care Unit 95 currently has 14 care beds and we provide 24-hour care primarily for elderly patients with multiple conditions in our local area. We offer care in areas including medicine, orthopedics, surgery, and palliative care. This provides comprehensive patient care. The unit also receives day patients for services such as blood transfusions or other infusions during the day.
