Now we are looking for an engaged and development-oriented principal who wants to lead Tranängskolan 7–9 together with skilled colleagues. The school is Tranemo Municipality's upper secondary school and has approximately 430 students in grades 7–9 as well as around 50 engaged employees. Here, knowledge, security, and participation are at the center, and students and staff work together to create a school where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. As principal, you will have a central role in the school's continued development and great opportunities to influence the direction of the organization. You lead the work to strengthen teaching quality, develop accessible learning environments, and create good conditions for both students and employees. You will also be part of the municipality's management organization, where principals and management together drive the development of the entire educational organization. DUTIES As principal, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, economics, and working environment. You lead the school's pedagogical development based on the Education Act, the curriculum, current research, and the municipality's joint development work. In this role, you collaborate closely with the school's assistant principal and with the school's management group, which consists of work team leaders. Together with employees, students, and guardians, you create a school where knowledge, security, and study peace go hand in hand. You lead systematic quality work where analysis, follow-up, and development initiatives are implemented in concrete improvements that contribute to increased goal achievement and equitable education. You create conditions for high-quality teaching by being an engaged pedagogical leader and by implementing research and proven experience in the school's daily life. As part of the municipality's research-based development work, you contribute to developing teaching with the support of cognitive science and continuous learning together with your colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a confident, clear, and inspiring pedagogical leader with a strong commitment to student learning and school development. You lead through trust, courage, and presence and have the ability to create engagement, participation, and good relationships. You combine a strategic perspective with active leadership close to operations. You have high expectations for teaching quality and are driven to develop the organization together with your colleagues. You see collaboration as a strength and build a culture where responsibility, professional learning, and development are a natural part of everyday life. We would like to see that you have an interest in research-based school development and in how knowledge from cognitive science and other educational research can be implemented in teaching, organization, and leadership. You have good analytical ability and can translate results and analyses into concrete development initiatives that make a difference for student learning. We are looking for you who have: • relevant pedagogical university education, • experience working in primary school, • experience in leadership within educational operations, • good knowledge of the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. • It is meritorious if you have completed or started the national principal education and have experience leading change and development work.
