The Stockholm City Development Office plans for a future Stockholm on behalf of the City Development Committee. We work with urban planning at both strategic and detailed levels, building permits, city surveying, property formation, and housing adaptations. The Stockholm City Development Office has approximately 340 employees and we are centrally located on Kungsholmen, about a ten-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station. Welcome to us The Finance Unit is part of the Stockholm City Development Office's business support and currently consists of seven employees working with finance, procurement, and purchasing. We are now looking for an engaged, self-driven, and trustworthy controller who, with a strong focus on operations, will help develop the unit's working methods and processes to continue delivering good service to the agency. As a controller with us, you'll have the opportunity to combine your financial expertise with an interest in urban development issues. You will work in a team with a finance director and two other controllers who support the Stockholm City Development Office with finance and operations development matters. Each controller is assigned to support their own department, but also works on tasks that concern the entire agency. Your work tasks include, among other things, working closely with operations managers to develop budgets and forecasts for each unit. You also conduct monthly and quarterly follow-ups and analyses of both finances and operations. You will have access to several different systems to produce, for example, statistics. Other work tasks include proactively supporting and challenging the units for the highest possible goal achievement, as well as proposing and participating in implementing improved working methods and procedures together with the other controllers. Your competence and experience For this position, we're looking for someone who is confident in the controller role, enjoys working closely with operations, and is experienced in taking responsibility for the entire process from analysis to decision-making materials. To be considered for the position, you should have: - completed and approved university or college degree in finance, or equivalent education that the employer considers equivalent - several years of experience with qualified financial work, or other experience that the employer considers equivalent - experience with controlling work - very good experience with budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, and analysis - good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel - good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing as this is necessary in daily work. It is a merit if you have: - knowledge of Agresso and Hypergene - knowledge of accounting - experience within municipal operations - experience working in a consultative role in close collaboration with operations managers.
