The Intermediate Care Unit (IMA) is a relatively new care unit, which means we are still developing the unit together. It is a 24-hour operation and patients come to us from throughout the hospital. Are you a nurse interested in working with cardiac care? We are a clinic with a strong sense of community, where good communication and professional care are a given. After 7 weeks of individual orientation, we offer stimulating and qualified work within cardiac care. Regular internal training is included, and there are opportunities for subsidized university courses. Unit 63 has 24 care beds divided into 3 care teams. The unit cares for patients with various cardiac diseases, such as acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, angina, and cardiac arrhythmias. All beds on the cardiac unit have access to continuous cardiac monitoring. Job Responsibilities The tasks consist of basic and specialized nursing care on an acute care unit with 24-hour emergency admissions. Work is carried out in teams consisting of physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants. The nurse is responsible for, among other things, assessment of pre-hospital ECGs from ambulances, readiness to manage acute myocardial infarctions for balloon angioplasty/coronary artery intervention, advanced treatment of acute and chronic heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias. The Intermediate Care Unit (IMA) is a relatively new care unit, which means we are continuously developing the department together. It is a 24/7 operation, and patients come to us from throughout the hospital. Patients cared for at IMA require a higher level of care than a regular ward, but not as advanced as intensive care. The average length of stay is approximately 1-2 days. At IMA, we have five care beds divided between two care teams. JOB DUTIES Common diagnoses we treat include respiratory failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, and intoxications. Patients come to us from medical wards, acute care operations, and as "step down" from our intensive care unit. As a nurse, you will work with this team to be responsible for the care of 2-3 patients. The Rheumatology Clinic is one of several operations within the Heart, Neurology and Rehabilitation department. Our operations are conducted at Remonthagen, located approximately 2 km from Östersund Hospital. At Östersund Rehab Center there is also a rehabilitation ward, outpatient rehabilitation and a pain unit. The Rheumatology Clinic is a specialist clinic for the investigation, care and treatment of patients with confirmed or suspected rheumatic inflammatory disease. The unit consists of extensive outpatient operations and has access to inpatient beds in the rehabilitation ward if needed.
