At the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Gävle Hospital, approximately 70 dedicated staff members work in a patient-focused environment. We support the entire hospital with advanced intensive care and offer six care beds for the most critically ill patients. A central part of our mission is also the Mobile Intensive Care Team (MIG), where we work proactively to identify and support patients with deteriorating conditions on other units. Through our follow-up clinic, we gain valuable insights from patients and their families, which helps us continuously develop and strengthen our operations. 1 position(s). WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As an intensive care nurse with us, you work in a close team with a nursing assistant, and together you are responsible for 1-2 patients with complex and rapidly changing care needs. The ICU operates 24/7 and is always staffed with 3-4 nurses and 3-4 nursing assistants. Beyond work on our own unit, you participate in major trauma alerts at the emergency department and carry out MIG assignments on other care units. When needed, we also stabilize patients before transport to hospitals with highly specialized care, for example in neurosurgery or burn care. This gives you broad and varied expertise in intensive care and acute care interventions.
