Do you want to help build the future of postpartum care in Malmö? Then we look forward to your application! The Women's Healthcare Operations Area (VO) in Malmö is one of the country's leading teaching units with proud traditions in obstetric and gynecological care. The unit also conducts exciting research and development activities. Obstetrics currently has ten delivery rooms, eight beds for hospitalized pregnant women, fifteen postpartum beds at BB Family, and eight beds at BB Home. The postpartum unit has twenty-eight postpartum beds for women and children who have had complicated deliveries. You work together in a team with nursing assistants and doctors. We also have close collaboration with the delivery ward and neonatal care, which ensures patients receive good and safe care with us.
On the postpartum unit, we care for newly delivered women and children born from week 28 of pregnancy. Here you meet women from different cultures and with different care needs. Our goal is for everyone to feel welcome and receive the care they need. Staffing is the same around the clock.

DUTIES
With us, you become an important part of our shared work to build the future of postpartum care in Malmö! We value family and would like you to have a genuine interest in women's healthcare with a special focus on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and the new family.
As an employee with us, you are part of a multidisciplinary team where you work closely with nursing assistants and the newly formed family. Daily rounds are conducted in collaboration with obstetricians and pediatricians. A large part of your work involves informing, advising, supporting, and affirming new parents. Since we have admissions and discharges every day, the work pace varies, making the work varied and exciting.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you if you are a licensed midwife or nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. If you are a nurse and have a desire to study to become a midwife in the future, we see that as valuable.
As a person, you are attentive, empathetic, and have good communication skills with both patients and colleagues. You contribute to a good work environment through engagement and a positive attitude. For you, it is self-evident that we all help each other and work flexibly together to achieve the best quality of care for our patients. You also thrive with handling a high work pace when needed and can adapt your work to changes in operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
