At Gothenburg Detention Center, criminal justice officers, psychologists, nurses, administrators, and intelligence operators work together. Job Responsibilities Administration is a service function where you will be part of a work team handling client matters through registration and processing of client documents such as decisions, court sentences, and more. Administration is responsible for archives, document logs, mail handling, procurement, and handling of the authority's incoming email. The job responsibilities also include other common administrative tasks. This role will, in addition to the above, largely involve sentence handling, sentence calculation, and financial administration. As an administrator, the role involves external contacts, where you represent the Swedish Prison and Probation Service to collaborating partners and the public. The job responsibilities require that you understand the principle of public access to information while ensuring that confidentiality protection is maintained. The office is located within the detention center where you will interact with colleagues and detainees. You are subject to the security measures that apply to the workplace. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is independent and service-oriented. Case processing is part of the legal process, so we require that you are thorough and well-organized. You have good judgment, are quality-conscious, can make correct prioritizations, and are accustomed to working at a fast pace at times. Work as an administrator is a service function and requires the ability to work both independently and in close cooperation with other employees at the detention center and with other actors both within and outside the authority. It is meritorious if you have: • Post-secondary education in public administration, law, human resources administration, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. • Experience with administrative work in public administration, preferably in the justice system, criminal justice, or healthcare and treatment services. • Experience with court proceedings and sentence calculation. • Several years of documented experience with document logging, archive management, confidential documents, and authority management. • Knowledge and experience working with systems such as Platina and Proceedo. • Knowledge of the penalty system.
