Within the social services of Sundbyberg City, development work is ongoing in both child and adult areas. Among other things, we have developed collaboration between those providing and those receiving support and treatment services, and have expanded the mandate of the Intimate Partner Violence Counseling Center. We have a qualified intimate partner violence coordinator who monitors and works on development issues in the area of violence in close relationships. We develop long-term and sustainably. We are an operation that constantly sees opportunities to develop and improve our work, and we are now seeking a colleague who wants to be part of this development work with us. We are looking for someone who likes to contribute ideas, collaborate with others, and drive processes forward in an operation that develops based on the needs of our target groups. At the Intimate Partner Violence Counseling Center, three experienced and knowledgeable counselors and a team leader work together. We are now seeking a counselor as one of our colleagues is moving on to another position within the unit. The Counseling Center is part of the Support and Treatment Unit. The unit is divided into three teams which, in addition to the Intimate Partner Violence Counseling Center, consist of two teams working with preventive parenting support. Our colleagues here are qualified with great commitment, willingness to collaborate, humility, warmth, care, and creativity. As a counselor at the Intimate Partner Violence Counseling Center, you will work with both individuals who have experienced violence and those who have perpetrated violence in close relationships. Our target groups are adults, young people, and children who have experienced violence in the home. Assignments come partly from individuals who have sought out the center for a limited number of sessions, and partly from investigating social workers who make decisions about longer-term treatment contacts. The role also includes outreach and preventive work. You will collaborate with internal and external partners and provide information about the center and work addressing violence in close relationships. The work may also include participating in, for example, school visits, festivals, and open meeting places where we meet children, young people, and adults to spread knowledge and information about support and assistance services. We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another relevant qualification that we consider equivalent. You also need experience working as a counselor in the field of violence in close relationships, with both victims and perpetrators. Further training in ATV, functional analysis, MI, or other methods used in the field is considered a merit. It is also advantageous if you have experience with treatment work with children and young people who have experienced violence, for example through Trappan or other relevant treatment methods. You also need strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and experience documenting in management systems used for official functions. The nature of the work means we place great emphasis on personal suitability in general and on the ability to take independent responsibility and collaborate in particular. You need to be able to and enjoy informing about violence in close relationships and the center's work. You have the ability to create respectful and trusting contact with people who are struggling, and you are flexible and adaptable in demanding situations. You also have the ability to independently, flexibly, and creatively drive processes forward. Some evening work occurs. The position is a permanent full-time role. Start date by agreement. A probationary period may apply. Apply by September 1, 2026. Interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis. We do not accept applications via email. Additional Information A large part of our operations is classified as critical service. The position means you may be included in Sundbyberg City's emergency preparedness organization. Before employment, the employer will request that you provide an extract from the police's suspicion and conviction register. Welcome with your application!
