Kalmarsunds Gymnasium Association is a municipal federation responsible for providing and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for its member municipalities Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4,000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools. The Federation Office consists of employees who work across the federation in various areas such as board work, finance, administration, legal matters, work environment, admissions, HR, communications, IT, catering, systematic quality work, and federation-wide competence development. The Federation Office can be compared to a municipal management office, consisting of a management group, managers at the federation level, and support functions. RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to combine strategic work with close collaboration with operations in facilities used daily by students and employees? Are you a structured coordinator who enjoys driving property and facilities matters from identified need to completed solution? As Property and Facilities Manager at Kalmarsunds Gymnasium Association, you hold a key role in ensuring appropriate, safe, and sustainable facilities. You are responsible for facilities provision, facility development, and property-related matters, and you create the conditions to meet operational needs both today and in the future. In your role as Property and Facilities Manager, you work both strategically and operatively. You are responsible for the federation's strategic facilities provision and long-term capacity planning. In this role, you drive and coordinate facility adaptations, investments, renovations, and relocation projects, and you develop analyses, calculations, and decision-making materials. You are responsible for contacts with property owners and other external parties, management of lease agreements, and monitoring of maintenance and investment plans. Together with operations and internal functions, you coordinate facility-related matters and contribute to the development of work within fire protection, safety, and risk management. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to switch between strategic long-term work and operational matters. You have a holistic perspective, good understanding of the collaboration between operations, facilities, and finances, and the ability to translate complex needs into clear plans, priorities, and decision-making materials. You work in a structured and independent manner while enjoying a role where collaboration, dialogue, and coordination with various stakeholders are a natural part of the work. You are proactive, have good prioritization skills, and are driven to move matters forward. Furthermore, you are communicative, solution-oriented, and confident in representing the organization in dialogues and negotiations. QUALIFICATIONS We seek someone with relevant higher education in areas such as property, construction, technology, or urban planning. Alternatively, you have other education or experience that the employer considers equivalent. We would appreciate if you have experience leading and coordinating facility, construction, or property-related projects, as well as good financial understanding and experience with calculations, budgeting, cost monitoring, or investment planning. You also have the ability to conduct investigations and develop analyses and decision-making materials. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Experience from public or politically controlled operations is meriting. We also view positively experience with educational facilities, lease agreements, public procurement, systematic fire protection work, security matters, or risk and vulnerability analyses. Driver's license category B is a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent position. Duration, start date: By agreement.
