ST Physician in Pediatrics, Gällivare Hospital
The Pediatrics Department in Norrbotten is a county clinic under the Division of Medicine and Acute Care. Our pediatric and adolescent medicine and pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation specialties work closely together, with extensive collaboration with child and adolescent psychiatry and other care partners within and outside Region Norrbotten. We also collaborate extensively with all municipalities in Norrbotten. The largest pediatric operations are located at Gällivare and Sunderby hospitals, where the county's inpatient care is also provided. Pediatric outpatient clinics operate in Gällivare, Sunderby, Piteå, Kalix, and Kiruna, and all locations except Kiruna also have pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation services. The Gällivare operation has just over 50 employees with diverse expertise. The operation is primarily based in Gällivare, with a smaller clinic in Kiruna. The catchment area has a small population but covers a large geographic area. Due to the vast distances, we run a multifaceted operation handling virtually all patient categories. On the medical side, we currently have three senior physicians and one specialist physician in Gällivare. We are now seeking an ST physician to join and expand our team. What We're Looking For We seek a licensed physician. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of VAS and Cosmic systems and skills in minority languages. Great importance is placed on personal qualities. As a person, you are initiative-taking and quality-conscious. You value and recognize the benefits of collaboration with others, and you are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts. You see the bigger picture and consider broader perspectives. Your Work The pediatric clinic conducts standard pediatric operations with significant variety and patients across multiple subspecialties. We provide outpatient care and advanced diagnostics. Your work also includes pediatric rehabilitation, collaboration with child and adolescent psychiatry, and cooperation with care levels outside the hospital, such as school health services and social services. The pediatric ward in Gällivare has eight beds for children up to 18 years of age, with neonatal care from 32 weeks gestation. This naturally occurs in good cooperation with other pediatric care in Norrbotten and well-functioning national and regional healthcare. Because the clinic serves a small population over a large geographic area, there is significant responsibility for acute care management across many different conditions. Therefore, approximately 2 years of service at larger hospitals is included in the ST training, along with educational initiatives. What We Offer You Training time and continuity with supervision Development and career opportunities where you can help create the future of health and care Health-promoting workplaces with access to wellness activities and wellness benefits Link to our benefits: https://www.norrbotten.se/sv/jobba-hos-oss/anstallningsvillkor-och-utveckling/ Job Details We offer you a permanent, full-time position with daytime hours. Start date by agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements. We conduct background checks before making employment decisions in accordance with the provisions of the Act (2013:852) on background checks for persons working with children. We strive to employ staff with knowledge of Sweden's national minority languages and therefore value your knowledge of Sami, Meänkieli, Finnish, Romani Chib, and Yiddish. We actively work toward gender balance and view diversity as a strength. We welcome employees with diverse backgrounds and work to make our workplace accessible to all. Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Welcome to apply!
