Ludvika Hospital is a well-functioning district hospital in southern Dalarna, beautifully located in Västerbergslagen near Lake Väsman. The hospital serves a catchment area of approximately 26,000 residents from Ludvika and Smedjebacken municipalities and employs just over 500 staff members.
The Department of Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Rehabilitation consists of:
34 inpatient beds divided between internal medicine and geriatrics/rehabilitation
Internal medicine outpatient clinic
Geriatric outpatient services
Secretarial unit
Hospital reception
Morgue operations
Together, we are approximately 100 employees working to provide safe, professional, and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
As a resident physician, you will primarily work in our inpatient care and become an important part of the multiprofessional team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ward work and rounds
Patient assessment and follow-up
Admissions and discharges
Documentation and care planning
Collaboration with other professions and care providers
Contact with relatives
Over time, there will also be opportunities to participate in the clinic's resident physician outpatient clinic.
