Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated healthcare centers, Healthcare Center Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and on-call centers evenings and weekends, and the General Medicine Education Center. Region Östergötland's ST training in general medicine is organized by the General Medicine Education Center (AMC), where study directors and education secretaries coordinate side studies, arrange courses and training, and participate in designing the ST doctor's training plan. Job Description
We offer you a challenging and varied job. We believe you are seeking primary care because you are interested in the breadth of the general medicine specialty and can envision a future in primary care. As an ST doctor with us, you will receive regular supervision and in addition to participating in ST meetings, you will have the opportunity to participate in training together with other junior doctors, AT doctors, and ST doctors at the healthcare center.
As of 2025, Healthcare Center Finspång and Skärblacka are one combined operational area. The change is intended to create a robust operation that in the future is equipped to handle the demographic challenges we face.
The operations currently have nearly 27,000 registered patients together and a staff of over 130 employees. The new operational area includes Healthcare Center Finspång and Healthcare Center Skärblacka as well as On-call Center Finspång. Also included in Healthcare Center Finspång is a branch in Rejmyre.
As an ST doctor you work with your own patient list. You meet patients of all ages at your own clinic. During your time at the healthcare center, you will for a period be responsible for special housing and work at the child health center. You will supervise students, perform development and R&D work.
Work Group
At Finspång Healthcare Center, we are over 100 employees in different professional disciplines. The doctor group at Healthcare Center Finspång consists of 12 specialist doctors, ten ST positions, and we usually have some junior doctors employed. In periods we have both AT doctors, BT doctors, and medical students in our operation.

You work weekdays and daytime mainly; further into your ST training you will work on-call shifts in evenings, weekends, and nights.

About You
You are a licensed doctor and hold a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to documented level C1, as you must be able to communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues without restriction. If you have not completed AT or have approved Basic Competence according to BT, there is an opportunity to do BT during the first year of employment.
As a person, you have good collaboration skills and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate in a clear manner. We want you to be unpretentious and enjoy working in a team. We place great importance on personal qualities.
