You will work within a broad surgical field with a focus on acute care and trauma care. In the unit, we handle abdominal observations, appendicitis, gallstone issues, bowel obstruction, surgical and traumatic injuries. As a nursing assistant, you have an important role in the nursing team where you together are responsible for daily care, nutrition, mobilization, wound care, and other tasks. You work close to the patient and the work includes identifying risks, assessing, addressing, and evaluating the patient's various care needs. You will have an important role in both prioritizing and coordinating care work together with the care team you are part of. Rotation assignments may be relevant, which means you have the opportunity to rotate through our sections to increase your surgical competence.
