The Radiology Department at Visby Hospital is its own operation with approximately 40 dedicated employees: radiologic technologists, nursing assistants, radiologists, and resident physicians. Together we perform about 43,000 examinations per year and meet patients of all ages. We have close collaboration both within the hospital, with primary care, and with private actors. Your responsibilities As a radiologic technologist with us, you work broadly with several different modalities and examination types. Ultrasound is performed in collaboration between physicians and nursing assistants. You work according to a schedule that includes evenings and weekends. On-call duty occurs: Weekdays after 21:10. Weekends and holidays after 19:00. We work with Sectra RIS and PACS systems and have the following equipment: Two CT scanners (Siemens Somatom go Top) Two skeletal labs (Siemens) One fluoroscopy and interventional lab (Siemens) One mobile X-ray unit (Samsung) – primarily for ICU and pediatric ward One MR (Philips, 1.5T) Who are you? You who apply are a licensed radiologic technologist. You have good computer skills and master RIS/PACS. We welcome both those with experience in the field and those who are newly graduated or early in your career who want to develop with us. If you are new to the profession, we offer thorough introduction and ongoing coaching so you quickly feel confident and settle into your role. For us, it is important that you have a positive attitude toward your work, good ability to collaborate with different people in different professions, and can prioritize in acute and stressful situations. The work involves great responsibility that places high demands on independent work ability. We place great emphasis on good patient care and therefore seek someone who is service-oriented with good communication skills. You should also be interested in advancing the clinic and be active in our quality and change initiatives.
