Newly Graduated Engineer to Drive Automation and Efficiency Projects
Do you want to work in an industrial operation where technology, production, and development meet? At Byggelit, we now have a unique opportunity through KTP Mittcirkeln to lead a development project in automation and efficiency improvements in our production. Byggelit is an established player in Swedish wood processing that manufactures custom-made particle boards with a focus on quality and sustainability. We have previous experience with successful KTP projects and know that it works. Today, two engineers work with us who started this way. Now we are looking for additional KTP engineers to continue strengthening our competitiveness. For you, this means a paid project employment with responsibility from day one, support throughout, and a clear timeframe that can lead to permanent employment after the project is completed. What is KTP Mittcirkeln? KTP Knowledge Transfer Partnership is a three-party collaboration between a company, a university, and a newly graduated engineer, with the aim of converting new knowledge into concrete results in the business. The program originated in the United Kingdom and is an established model that has been used for many years to connect companies and academia in sharp development projects. The company needs knowledge. The university has knowledge. The engineer transfers knowledge. IUC Jämtland Härjedalen holds the project together and supports all parties throughout the process. What you get from a KTP project ✔ Paid project employment with the possibility of permanent employment. ✔ A sharp assignment at a real industrial company. ✔ Support all the way. You receive a business coach from IUC, an academic supervisor from Mittuniversitetet, and a team that follows you through the entire project. ✔ Experience that counts. You develop in project management, technology, and business, and build a relevant network in the industry. More information about KTP Mittcirkeln can be found at www.iucjamtlandharjedalen.se/ktp-for-studenter. This could involve upgrading equipment, optimizing controls, or improving flows in production. Examples include working with PLC optimization, switching to more energy-efficient operation, or implementing smarter data collection. Maintenance and availability In parallel, you develop approaches for preventive maintenance. You create and implement procedures for calibration and inspection of critical instruments, with the goal of reducing downtime and increasing availability in production. You work closely with the technical manager, production, and operations staff, and drive the project from analysis through implementation and follow-up. Here the decision paths are short, collaboration is close, and an interest in technology and problem-solving is a natural part of everyday work. The goal is not just improvements on paper, but in production. More efficient processes mean better use of energy and raw materials. More stable maintenance means less downtime and higher availability. Even minor improvements in availability have a clear effect on results, and the project is part of a larger effort to strengthen Byggelit's competitiveness.
