About the Organization Ambulance services have a regional mandate and consist of five ambulance stations, three satellite stations operated by Region Västernorrland, and three ambulance stations in private operation. The organization employs approximately 200 staff distributed across five region-operated units, each led by a unit manager, and three contract-operated units. The organization's responsibility encompasses prehospital care, including assessment and treatment of acutely ill and injured patients of all ages and with all types of medical conditions and injuries before hospital care. The ambulance service performs approximately 36,000 assignments per year. In its daily work, the organization maintains important interfaces and collaborations with SOS Alarm, emergency departments, hospital wards, primary care, psychiatric care, state and municipal rescue services, social services, municipal care and elderly services, and police. The Sollefteå ambulance station currently employs approximately 40 specialist nurses, nurses, and nursing assistants (ambulance care providers). The station currently operates three ambulances 24/7 and one patient transport resource, together performing approximately 3,600 assignments per year. We are now expanding operations with an entirely new role as assistant unit manager, who together with our regular unit manager will plan, organize, and lead the work at the unit. About the Operations The Operations and Intensive Care department is located at all county hospitals. Our responsibility includes surgery, anesthesia, and intensive care, encompassing day surgery, inpatient surgery, recovery and postoperative care, intensive care, anesthesia clinic, and surgical planning. The department functions as a service specialty, meaning we handle patients from other departments for surgery or intensive care. The total number of surgeries performed annually across all county hospitals is approximately 16,000. We participate with our services in almost 20,000 assignments. In day surgery, we care for patients and prepare them for their day surgery operations. In the recovery ward, all operated patients are admitted and monitored after surgery is complete. We offer a combined service where work in both day surgery and the post-operative ward is included. Registered nurses, nursing assistants, and anesthesiologists work together in this role to provide the best care for patients. The role involves close collaboration with both the intensive care unit and the operating room. There are significant opportunities to contribute to the department's development. Physiotherapy work includes work on care wards, day rehabilitation, and outpatient services both individually and in groups. We also have a team for stroke rehabilitation at home. We are starting to develop a mobile rehabilitation team and would like you to be involved in planning its launch. We are now seeking two physiotherapists for our team! These positions are permanent full-time positions with a start date to be agreed upon. Job Duties The first position involves: Work on a care ward with elective orthopedics, day surgery operations, and orthopedic outpatient clinic.
