Your Tasks Adult learning encompasses a wide range of knowledge areas, including adult learning occurring at different stages of the life cycle, organizational, institutional, and didactic questions in relation to municipal adult education, folk high schools, vocational education, and popular education more broadly. Also included are questions about adult study participation, social inclusion and exclusion of various groups in formal, non-formal, and informal learning contexts, transitions between education, work, and social life, and matters of employability. The two positions aim to strengthen research on municipal adult education, in relation to which the PhD students will formulate their research interests. As a PhD student, you are expected to contribute to the development of the broader research environment. This includes, among other things, thesis work, teaching, and participation in shared activities. As a PhD student, you will engage in your research training and research projects in which you participate. Your work may also include teaching or participating in other departmental assignments, up to 20 percent of full-time. Your Qualifications You hold a degree at the advanced level in education or a subject of central importance to adult learning, or have completed courses of at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits at the advanced level in education or a subject of central importance to adult learning, or have otherwise acquired essentially equivalent knowledge.
