Your main tasks include: Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction in the Children and Recreation program based on the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25) and the school's governing documents, both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. Take responsibility for students' work-based learning, which means developing and maintaining local industry contacts and visiting and mentoring students at their practice placements. You will be part of a subject team and meet an engaged and supportive work team where we share experiences and collectively take responsibility for student development. As a new vocational teacher with us, you receive a secure introduction and a mentor. Working time is divided into 35 hours on-site at school (typically Monday through Friday during daytime) and 10.5 hours of trust-based time. About You We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people and who has broad and qualified professional experience from activities within Children and Recreation, such as LSS, care and health services, or daily activities. It is a merit if you have relevant vocational training or specialist knowledge in the field, such as nursing assistant or support assistant. It is also a merit if you: Are an educated vocational teacher with teacher certification and authorization to teach at upper secondary school level in relevant vocational subjects (for example LSS, special education, and social work), or have completed teacher training. Have previously taught at upper secondary school for at least one academic year and have experience documenting student learning and assigning grades. Have experience working in curriculum-based schools through practice or employment. Have experience mentoring young people, for example through practice, and have an established industry network. Have practical experience in the care and health sector (such as knowledge and experience in basic healthcare). Have experience leading and speaking to groups. Have good basic digital competence in the Google environment. You have very good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This requirement is motivated by the fact that as a vocational teacher, in accordance with the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25), you must organize and deliver instruction so that students receive active support in their language and communication development and develop a rich and nuanced professional vocabulary. As a teacher, you are a good role model and confident in yourself. You have a good ability to build relationships and can quickly adapt your instruction when circumstances change to meet students' needs. You involve students in shaping their instruction and create good conditions for student development, learning, and documentation in a quality-conscious manner. You are a team player who enjoys working within established frameworks, curricula, and school laws together with colleagues in parallel classes and who consults and collaborates well with other colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in your professional role.
