About the job We are now seeking a child secretary for our workplace located at Höstvädersgatan 1. The unit consists of a unit manager and two teams, each led by a senior social secretary. We work closely with our sister unit located at Vågmästargatan 1A, which consists of a unit manager and three child secretary teams, each led by a senior social secretary. As a child secretary, you will follow up on the care of our foster children and youth according to SoL and LVU. The work includes meetings with children, youth, and their guardians as well as foster families. The work is varied and engaging—some days you work at the office while other days you travel to meet with children and other collaboration partners, such as schools and healthcare providers. In your daily case management, you work closely with the Foster Family Unit, with whom you plan your follow-ups and together conduct many visits. The work involves working independently with support from colleagues and a senior social secretary, planning your follow-ups. As a child secretary, you also conduct some investigative work based on incoming reports or applications. We work according to BBIC and serve children aged 0–20 years. We place great emphasis on children's participation in their care and constantly work to amplify children's voices. We work with LÖSA to develop and create participation for those we serve. Introduction, supervision, and ongoing professional development are taken for granted. Methodology supervision with your team occurs once a week, and frequent case reviews with a senior social secretary take place as needed. The child secretary units have joint staff meetings, full-day events, and certain methodology meetings together. We have administrative support that assists our units in many ways. Access to a lawyer and a specially qualified social secretary who can assist with certain aspects of case management to provide support. About you We are seeking someone with a sociology degree and a category B driver's license. You need to have experience in exercising authority within child and youth services, and we consider it a merit if that experience comes from working as a child secretary. You have strong collaboration skills and can take into account different information sources and perspectives while adapting others' ideas to your own work. Good communication is important in all aspects of the role, and you express yourself well in writing. You work efficiently and can balance various demands while remaining calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between facts and individuals and can make well-reasoned decisions from both short-term and long-term perspectives.
