About the Job We are now recruiting two new colleagues to Tuppfjätsgatan's residential facility with special services! The residence is undergoing renovation and will be expanded with two additional apartments by fall. We are looking for you to work with our target group: adults with acquired brain injuries. The needs of our residents vary greatly, ranging from care involving full ADL (Activities of Daily Living) to more verbal support and guidance. The goal is for those living here to receive individually tailored support to live as independently as possible, while we promote health and rehabilitation. Working as a support assistant involves providing residents with individually tailored support through a low-affective approach, as well as encouraging and motivating them in daily rehabilitation and living. Some of our residents have significant care needs and require assistance with transfers. We work to stimulate leisure activities and offer our residents various physical activities. We have close collaboration with the health and care team, which consists of a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. Work tasks also include medication management according to delegation, social documentation in the Treserva system, and certain other administrative tasks. As a permanently placed support assistant, you will have the opportunity to be a contact person for a service user and to be a representative for your own area of responsibility, such as hygiene, assistive devices, or fire safety. All support assistants with us are offered opportunities for further internal training. We work with customized training initiatives based on the needs we see in our operations. There is an established collaboration between units in the scheduling group, and work is scheduled for days, evenings, and two out of four weekends. Work scheduling may change if residents' needs change. About You We are looking for you to have qualifications from the Health and Care Program, Support Assistant training, or the Children and Youth Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is meritorious if you have relevant further education and/or experience working with people with brain injuries. You have previous experience with care work. We want you to be clear in your communication and able to work pedagogically and methodically. Experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is meritorious. You have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the language qualifications in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test through test provider Educateit. You can quickly adjust your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes. You are attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without being dependent on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and move work forward. You can balance demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You see possibilities for change and create situations where new ideas and suggestions can develop.
