AT begins with an introduction week featuring lectures and practical training. The current training program also includes three education weeks linked to medical, surgical, and primary care blocks. During the psychiatry placement, corresponding education is conducted continuously one afternoon per week. Beyond this, full-day seminars shaped according to AT objectives are also offered. Qualifications To begin employment, a medical degree is required, and for those who studied abroad, a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding eligibility to conduct AT. Experience working in Swedish healthcare is meritorious. Assessment of medical competence is conducted as part of the recruitment process. We are now developing the curator role at Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's inpatient ward 5 and are seeking someone who wants a varied assignment where you will be very much a key connector in the team. You will be surrounded by a work group defined by high competence and great commitment. Together with us, you will work on a very important mission: individual-focused care for children and young people up to 18 years old at a specialist psychiatric inpatient ward. Ward 5 is a child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient ward with 6 beds serving the entire Örebro region. We admit children and young people with serious psychiatric conditions for acute hospitalizations. Our patients are cared for together with their guardian(s), and the goal of the inpatient stay is primarily to stabilize the acute poor condition so that they can then return home and continue their care in outpatient services. On ward 5, we work in a positive and cohesive multiprofessional team consisting of the curator, nurses, care assistants, physicians, teachers, and the unit manager. Work Tasks As a curator on the ward, you participate in daily planning for our patients and participate in/conduct assessment and planning conversations with them. You also have primary responsibility for the parental support offered to all guardians. This support is important as we clearly see that the family network needs to be secure and sustainable for the young person to stabilize in their well-being. The curator profession is the only profession in healthcare with social-legal/juridical competence, and an important function is to coordinate interventions with various societal actors, safeguard and ensure patients' needs and rights are met, provide social counseling, and implement social measures including contact with social services. You will also be the ward's discharge coordinator, which means overseeing and facilitating safe care transitions, managing this planning to ensure that we and our care partners have the information needed for the patient and guardian to receive good and secure care throughout the entire care pathway.
