You will be an important part in bringing the agency to the next level in our major long-term change and development work. The agency has recently established its own operations, and there is ongoing development of a new vehicle traffic register as well as long-term security enhancement measures. You will work in the areas of civil defense, continuity, and IT preparedness, where the focus is to ensure that the IT department works in a coordinated and unified manner regarding preparedness issues, crisis management, and continuity management. You will have an important role in evaluating and proposing measures to strengthen the department's preparedness and crisis management capabilities. The function also is responsible for coordinating and developing the department's systematic security work in civil defense, continuity, and preparedness. This is done through training, support in daily work for sections and units, analyses, and development of requirements, etc.
You will
analyze and develop the department's ability to manage crisis, war, and heightened preparedness
coordinate and develop the department's crisis management
work with security protection issues
develop requirements for the continuity and preparedness area
provide support in continuity management to the department's operations and sections
coordinate and develop risk and vulnerability analysis work within the department
plan and conduct training initiatives and exercise activities for our staff related to your area
coordinate planning for special events within the department
represent the IT department in collaboration forums and working groups for the agency within your areas
collaborate with all of the agency's operations and, if necessary, other agencies or organizations
establish and maintain governing documents within your area
review and handle internal and external referrals within the area
prepare situational reports and be responsible for reporting.
You must have
post-secondary education relevant to the assignment or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
broad and comprehensive IT expertise acquired through many years of experience in the industry
documented experience working in the crisis and preparedness field
good knowledge of Swedish total defense planning, security protection legislation, and other regulations in the field
experience working with risk and vulnerability analyses
good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is advantageous if you also have
education in one or more areas such as staff service, security protection, continuity, advanced course in total defense (HK 1)
experience as a chief of staff in crisis management
knowledge regarding cybersecurity
experience with preparedness planning in public operations
experience with continuity work in the IT field
experience working with frameworks and standards such as ISO 27002, NIS2.

The position is permanent with placement in Örebro. Appointment by agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days per week. The needs of the operation and the nature of the work tasks determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with registry check under the security protection law (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our work tasks in security classification, Swedish citizenship is required.
