Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and for ensuring that research and innovation deliver results. We are now seeking a nurse who is new and curious—or experienced and inquisitive! Do you want to see it all? Lycksele Hospital is a small, modern, and well-equipped acute hospital in South Lapland. Here you will find departments and clinics in areas such as surgery, radiology, internal medicine, rehabilitation/stroke, ophthalmology, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and pediatrics. We also staff the region's ambulance helicopter. The hospital and proximity to different departments provides a unique opportunity for development and learning across boundaries and a broad foundation to build on. We conduct close collaboration between clinics and ward departments at the hospital. We now offer a permanent position where you will work at one department for a period of six months, then move to the next—a chance to learn broadly before you decide! After two years, you choose which department you want to work in permanently. The schedule may look like the following during the first two years, with individual planning taken into account. Six months at the Rehabilitation & Stroke Department: Ward beds are divided between stroke care and general rehabilitation, but there are also orthopedic beds for operated elderly patients. Acute care consists of, among other things, abdominal observations and trauma of varying kinds. Six months at the Medical Department: Has a general internal medicine focus with a variety of medical conditions including cardiology, lung disease, infection, and diabetes. Six months at the Emergency Department: Receives and handles approximately 10,000 visits per year. A flexible workflow provides good overview and short waiting times. You are part of the working time model that is the same for all departments and entails a reduction in working hours to promote recovery. Common to all departments are relatively short care periods and team-based work. We work with structured onboarding and patient-centered care. There are discharge coordinators who handle discharges and discharge planning, and in some cases primary nurses. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES The work offers great variety and is highly diverse in content as you will work within different specializations in inpatient care.
