Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology Västerbotten (CFOG) is a regional organization where the three hospitals in the region participate and collaborate. CFOG's unit in Lycksele, with approximately 30 employees, has a shared labor and postpartum ward, gynecology ward, gynecology clinic, specialist maternity care, and midwife clinic. In Lycksele, we are responsible for women's healthcare in southern Lapland, where many of our patients travel up to 30 miles (about 48 km) to reach us. Our mission includes providing both acute and planned outpatient and inpatient care to pregnant women who primarily live in Västerbotten's inland areas, but also to women from other parts of the region.
