About the operation Öppenrehab Borlänge is a service at Borlänge Hospital that provides specialized rehabilitation at home or at an outpatient clinic. We are a multiprofessional team that uses a person-centered approach to provide neurorehabilitation, stroke follow-ups/rehabilitation, and specialized home rehabilitation to enable early discharge from inpatient care. Our scope of work is broad and covers mental health issues in children from newborn period through the teenage years. Job Responsibilities What does the job entail? Within LSS and social psychiatry: You help individuals with functional variations, mental health challenges, or special needs manage their daily lives and reach their goals. The work is varied and tailored to each person's unique needs and may include: Personal care and daily support: Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and other daily routines. Practical tasks: Supporting with cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping for the home. Social support: Encouraging social activities and creating meaningful leisure time for care recipients. Health-promoting work: Strengthening mental and physical health by providing support that contributes to more independent living. Documentation and medication management: Documenting interventions and managing medications according to delegation. Workplaces may be group or service homes, short-term facilities, day activities, social psychiatry units, or home-based support services. Within elderly care: The work involves supporting older people in their daily lives and creating a safe, dignified, and meaningful existence. Tasks are varied and tailored to each individual's needs, and you contribute to both practical assistance and social community: Personal care: You assist with personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and medication. By treating care recipients with respect and attentiveness, you create security and conditions for good quality of life. Some care recipients have significant care needs, which means health and medical care tasks are part of the work. Practical assistance: You support with tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping to ease daily life. Your work helps care recipients feel independent and comfortable in their homes or residences. The work may also involve assisting with transfers to ensure safety and comfort in their daily activities. Social support: By participating in walks, conversations, and various activities, you create well-being and a meaningful day. You work to combat loneliness and strengthen care recipients' well-being, both physically and mentally. You may work within home care services, nursing and care homes, or at a short-term residence where the focus is primarily on rehabilitation following hospitalization. Qualifications The role requires: Good computer and mobile device skills. Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Being an EU citizen or having valid residence and work permits. Personal qualities: You have a strong commitment to helping others and enjoy working closely with people. You are attentive and confident in interactions with others, and with your positive and solution-oriented approach, you create both security and joy in everyday life. Collaboration is natural for you, and you contribute to a strong team spirit while being comfortable taking independent responsibility. You are flexible and adapt smoothly to different situations and changing circumstances. With your sense of responsibility and professionalism, you ensure that each individual receives the support they need. As a person, you are service-oriented and attentive to each individual's unique needs, while building trusting relationships with care recipients, colleagues, and family members. Meritorious qualifications: Education or experience in healthcare, care, or social work. Experience with delegated health and medical care tasks. B-class driver's license and cycling experience (required for certain home care teams). Knowledge of MI (motivational interviewing) or low-arousal approaches. Employment Terms We offer temporary employment on an as-needed basis, where you set your own availability for work. We prefer candidates with at least 50% availability. Working hours are irregular and may include day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. For this position, you must be at least 18 years old. The work involves night shifts, solo work, and medication delegation, which according to current regulations is not permitted for minors. (See the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on working environment for minors: av.se) To work within the care administration, you must meet the requirements for receiving delegation for medication management. This means you must read training materials, take tests, and participate in a briefing before a knowledge assessment.
