Hospitals in the West is a division within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Emergency Medicine in Kungälv Kungälv Hospital is a smaller hospital just north of Gothenburg that serves approximately 125,000 residents, largely from smaller coastal communities, and admits about 32,000 patients aged 16 and older per year within internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and trauma. Emergency Doctors in Kungälv The emergency doctor initiative began in fall 2017 and as of fall 2026, we have seven specialist doctors and 13 ST doctors in emergency medicine working with us. As an ST doctor, we follow SWESEM's training plan for emergency medicine and internal medicine training is conducted in collaboration with other hospitals in the Gothenburg region, including SÄS. This means that approximately half of the ST position consists of rotations, courses, and projects that take place both locally and regionally. As a specialist, you have great opportunities to develop and build up the operations and participate in further training. Job Duties The position primarily involves working in the emergency department, during day, evening, and night shifts. Time for administration and education is scheduled, and a sustainable work environment is a main focus. As a specialist, supervising ST doctors is part of your work. You are also expected to contribute to the development of working methods for the emergency doctor team. Since spring 2026, we have started a mobile emergency doctor team (MALT) staffed by specialists in emergency medicine. MALT provides patient-centered emergency care at home for patients who benefit from avoiding hospital stays. You must hold a Swedish medical license and have work experience within Swedish inpatient care. Gravedigger/Cemetery Worker
Kungälv-Ytterby Parish comprises the central parts of Kungälv Municipality just north of Gothenburg. The parish is home to approximately 27,000 residents, of which over 15,000 are church members. The cemetery administration is based at Skogskyrkogården in Kungälv and manages five additional cemeteries in Kungälv and Ytterby, as well as the outdoor areas at churches and parish centers. The team consists of a cemetery superintendent, seven full-time employees, and four seasonal cemetery workers. As a Cemetery Worker, you will: - Participate in the practical outdoor maintenance of the cemeteries and serve as a custodian at funeral services and burial ceremonies - Participate in the practical outdoor maintenance of the parish's properties - Dig graves, including both casket and urn graves - Perform certain property maintenance tasks - Participate in the maintenance of burial operation vehicles, machinery, and tools - Perform snow removal duty during winter months on certain weekends and holidays Who are you? - You are driven and make things happen - You have previous experience in cemetery work or groundskeeping maintenance and appropriate training for such work - You contribute to a positive work environment and good team cohesion - You are service-oriented and have the ability to meet with grieving families Meritorious qualifications include: chainsaw certification, hot work certification, lift truck training, road work certification, excavator training, forklift license, and machinery knowledge.
