Read more at www.agrenska.se Who Will You Work With? I am an active, spirited 13-year-old boy living with my mom, dad and older brother in Kungälv. I love speed and excitement and I'm looking for a creative assistant who has kept their childlike spirit and wants to go on adventures with me. I love action-packed play and I'm looking for someone who will help me drive remote-controlled cars, jump on a trampoline, ride roller coasters at Liseberg, play with trains, swim in the sea and at swimming pools, and run in a frame runner or different races in a special running stroller. I also enjoy calm and relaxing experiences like visiting Eldorado and the sensory rooms there. I like spending time with my friends; we go wheelchair dancing together, among other things. I wish that you as my assistant would help me take the initiative for activities that my friends and I can do together, and help me stay in touch with them. I have cerebral palsy, severe intellectual disability, bilateral cochlear implants, and epilepsy. I have a button in my stomach that I'm fed through when I don't have the energy to eat through my mouth. I have no verbal speech but I'm very expressive and communicate through eye contact and body language. It is therefore important that you are attentive and can read my needs and what I want. I'm also practicing communicating through picture support in a PODD book and eye-tracking computer. I need help with everything in my daily life, such as getting dressed and undressed, eating and taking medicine, diaper changes, washing myself and becoming more independent in play. Scope of Position The position is 50%, but there is an opportunity to work more if you wish! Working hours vary, but typically you will work weekday afternoons 14:30–20:30 and every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 10–18. We hope you can start in mid/late August. You will be offered an introduction/shadowing period at the beginning of your employment. Who Are You?
