He is currently wheelchair-bound, but has strong determination and goal-orientation to walk again in the future. We are now seeking assistants who want to be part of this man's rehabilitation journey and help him achieve the best recovery possible. As a personal assistant, you will be an important part of his daily life and ongoing rehabilitation. We are looking for someone interested in supporting him both physically and mentally on his journey toward increased function and quality of life. I have cerebral palsy that affects my body, which means my arms and legs don't function. I also have speech difficulties, but I don't use any speech aids—people learn over time when working with me what I'm trying to say. You simply need to be patient and, most importantly, dare to ask if I'm able to communicate. It's a habit for me. But I am intellectually normal, so my cerebral palsy doesn't affect my mind. I need help with hygiene, toilet visits, eating, getting dressed and undressed, and transferring between my electric wheelchairs. Since you will be my extended arms and legs. I also need help with everyday chores like cleaning, laundry, and shopping. It's a plus if you enjoy cooking and baking—of course baking isn't that important—but it's good if you can do both. I don't have any aids except for two electric wheelchairs, and there's no heavy lifting. My biggest requirements are that you are cat-friendly because I have two indoor cats who also need care.
