My name is Anita and I live in Täby near Täby Centrum.
I live with Assistants today. I have cerebral palsy that affects my body, which means my arms and legs don't function. I also have speech difficulties, but I don't use any speech aids—people learn over time when working with me what I'm trying to say. You simply need to be patient and, most importantly, dare to ask if I'm able to communicate. It's a habit for me. But I am intellectually normal, so my cerebral palsy doesn't affect my mind.
I need help with hygiene, toilet visits, eating, getting dressed and undressed, and transferring between my electric wheelchairs.
Since you will be my extended arms and legs.
I also need help with everyday chores like cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
It's a plus if you enjoy cooking and baking—of course baking isn't that important—but it's good if you can do both.
I don't have any aids except for two electric wheelchairs, and there's no heavy lifting.
My biggest requirements are that you are cat-friendly because I have two indoor cats who also need care. So you cannot have pet allergies. Also, you should be neutral to strong odors and not smoke, as I have allergies. You need good Swedish skills both in speech and writing because of my speech difficulties.
It would be interesting if we could share interests such as dance, dance music, walking, photography, and some computer knowledge—but no pressure. I see that you are cheerful, stress-tolerant, and attentive. You can joke around—laughter extends life, as they say. I'm quick to laugh myself and have a good sense of humor. It's good if you can be flexible and have a strong work ethic, and preferably some experience working as a personal assistant. I also see that you treat me like any other person. If you see this ad, I hope you become interested and find it appealing.
The position is primarily for a couple of days per week, plus filling in as needed.
