Work as a Homework Tutor in Stockholm!

Do you want to make a difference? 19,916 students did not complete lower secondary school in Sweden during the 2023/2024 school year. Each homework tutoring group consists of 15 students, and together with your colleagues, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the work. As a homework tutor, you can either work as a regular tutor or as a substitute. As a regular tutor, you work 6 hours per week divided over two scheduled afternoons/evenings (with the possibility for extra substitute shifts). The differences between schools, where you live, where you come from, and what your parents do increasingly determine your likelihood of succeeding in school. Stiftelsen Läxhjälpen is a non-profit foundation that operates where it is most needed. Homework help is free for students, and tutors' salaries are financed through support from the business sector and public sector. Läxhjälpen is a concrete initiative addressing one of Sweden's greatest challenges today - more and more young people are not succeeding in school and risk being excluded from society. Carefully selected, paid college students help young people with their studies two evenings a week and are simultaneously positive role models and mentors.
