The center is to strengthen and develop preventive work against violent extremism at the national, regional and local level. This is to be done, among other things, by being a knowledge hub, providing tailored support to local actors and contributing to creating a higher degree of efficiency and coordination in preventive efforts. The center is placed within the Crime Prevention Council and cooperates with authorities, municipalities, civil society and other relevant actors. This is done by being a contact point for authorities and others who distribute public funds or otherwise review publicly funded activities. As part of the contact point function, CVE assists with in-depth reviews of activities that may be assumed to have connections to violent extremism or other antidemocratic environments. The operation is still in a formative stage and we are now seeking additional investigators. About the Job Reviews are carried out at the request of a decision-making body that, within the scope of its government assignment, distributes public funds or otherwise reviews publicly funded activities. Your task as an investigator is to drive the review from start to finish, where you, among other things, gather and analyze information from various sources and materials and write statements on completed reviews. You are responsible for ensuring this is done in a legally secure manner and that reviews maintain high quality. The work is conducted in close cooperation with other investigators and places high demands on the ability to analyze and share information, consider different perspectives and contribute to joint assessments. In your role as an investigator, you also cooperate with other departments within the agency. Work as a contact point also involves supporting and cooperating with authorities and other stakeholders on a more overarching level, as well as keeping yourself updated within areas relevant to the assignment.
