Project Manager – Exercises and Preparedness at PTS

As a project manager in the Capability Planning Unit, you will actively strengthen Sweden's civil preparedness. You will lead exercises and projects that help society function during crises and heightened readiness. We are now looking for you to take an active responsibility in an important societal mission with great significance. We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you will ensure that it works now and in the future. For everyone. The Capability Planning Unit works with long-term planning and direction of PTS total defense work and exercise activities. This includes planning, developing, and evaluating the capability required for society's electronic communication and postal services to function during disruptions, crises, and heightened readiness. The work is conducted in close cooperation with other authorities, the business sector, and other actors. We are a dedicated and competent team with broad backgrounds in technology, analysis, political science, and preparedness. Here there is an open and unpretentious working climate where collaboration, development, and societal benefit are in focus. You will have great opportunities to influence both direction, working methods, and results. My name is Rita Hammarstedt, and I will be your manager. As a manager, I am unpretentious and value working as a team where we reach our goals together. I appreciate collaboration, trusting leadership, and ensuring that our work creates concrete value for our sector and for Sweden. By adapting work tasks to employees' backgrounds and preferences, I strive to create motivation and well-being in the workplace. Through close dialogue and appreciation, I build a team where everyone is motivated to contribute. About the Role As a project manager, you will have a central role in PTS exercise activities. You will lead, plan, and conduct both larger and smaller exercise projects. This can include the agency's own tabletop exercises, simulation exercises, and field exercises, as well as serving as a local exercise leader when PTS participates in exercises with other actors. You will work together with PTS exercise coordinators, who are responsible for developing and maintaining the agency's work with training and exercises in the preparedness area. Exercises are often conducted in cooperation with other units and departments within PTS as well as with external actors. This can be, for example, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, civil sectors, the National Cybersecurity Center, other sector-responsible authorities, the Swedish Armed Forces, or private actors. NATO's regulations and working methods are also an important part of PTS preparedness work. The role also includes contributing to and sometimes leading other assignments and projects within the preparedness area. This can include, for example, government assignments, project evaluations, or follow-up on capability development work. You will have a broad coordination role where you represent PTS in contacts with companies, authorities, and organizations. The role also involves leading and following up on others' work and sometimes managing intensive periods where much needs to be accomplished before and during an exercise implementation. About You We are looking for someone who thrives in driving projects and exercises forward in a changing environment. You are organized and can independently plan, prioritize, and scope your work, while also being good at collaboration and coordinating different needs. You are confident in leading groups, managing large meetings, and can handle situations where different perspectives or needs need to be weighed against each other. You have the ability to remain calm and focus on what is most important even when workload is high and circumstances change. For us, your personal qualities are important, so we will place great emphasis on these. We are looking for someone who has: Relevant academic education or other education and work experience that PTS considers equivalent. Current work experience with exercise activities in the field of civil preparedness, civil or military defense. Current work experience in a leading role in larger projects or other activities. Very good skills in Swedish and English. It is also advantageous if you have: Good knowledge of, for example, market, actors, and services within electronic communication or digital infrastructure acquired through current work experience. Experience leading, or having participated in planning of practical exercises, such as a field exercise. Knowledge of or experience working with issues regarding civil obligations or personnel supply. Experience in risk and security work during exercise implementation. Our Offer We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both inside and outside work. If you feel good, we feel good. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work. We also provide generous wellness benefits and two wellness hours every week. In addition, you will receive favorable terms for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and in case of illness. Here you will work in modern activity-based facilities at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure. We are creating tomorrow's society and must be at the forefront. With us, you will continuously grow through your assignments. Good to Know The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Location in Stockholm with a start as soon as possible according to agreement. Your job title will be handler. The position is classified as confidential. Employment therefore requires Swedish citizenship. To enable us to make a fair and objective assessment of your competence, we ask that you do not include a photo, personal identification number, or address in your CV. Lawyer for the Online Platforms Unit at PTS

Do you want to be part of developing law in an area that is crucial for our digital society? As a lawyer with us, you'll work with complex and current legal issues, while contributing to the development of an important and growing government mandate. We work with what everyone takes for granted – the ability to communicate. We ensure it works now and in the future, for everyone. The digital world is growing – with new opportunities, but also new risks. To make the digital environment safe, secure, and reliable for users, the EU has adopted the Digital Services Act (DSA). The primary goal of the regulation is to prevent illegal and harmful activity online and to counteract the spread of misinformation. PTS is Sweden's coordinator for digital services (Digital Services Coordinator) and supervisory authority for several provisions in the regulation. It is our unit that is responsible for PTS's DSA work. "I, who will become your manager, am Morgan Westéus, and I lead the Online Platforms Unit in close collaboration with my Deputy Unit Manager, Linnea von Gegerfelt. We believe in open collaboration without pretense and we strive to create a developing work environment where you can take responsibility and grow in your role." About the role As a lawyer in the Online Platforms Unit, you will work broadly with legal issues related to general administrative law, data protection, and freedom of information and confidentiality. An important part of the role is to independently conduct legal investigations and quickly familiarize yourself with new and complex legislation. The work can include participating in supervisory work, writing and presenting decisions and responses to consultations, contributing to regulatory development, and assisting in potential court proceedings. You may also represent PTS in national and international contexts, for example through participation in international working groups and contacts with market players, industry representatives, other authorities, and organizations. The role also includes contributing to the development of our internal processes and working methods. Work tasks may change and develop as our mandate and legal area evolve. About the team The Online Platforms Unit is one of four units within the Market Regulation Department. The unit currently has a project manager, nine lawyers, an assistant, and two case handlers. Since the area we operate in is constantly growing and evolving, the unit is expected to expand accordingly. With us, you will be part of an operation where law plays a central role and where we together build up and develop working methods for a relatively new government mandate. Here you have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues with different skills and contribute to advancing the operation. About you To succeed in the role, we see that you are collaborative with an unpretentious approach. You work efficiently and in a structured manner while thriving in a changing environment where conditions can change at short notice. You are also responsible with the ability to deliver results of good quality on time. Your personal qualities are important, so we will place great emphasis on these. We are looking for someone who has: Swedish law degree (270 hp, previously jur.kand.). Notarial service. Several years of experience with legal work as a government lawyer, municipal lawyer, or other experience with practical legal matters deemed comparable. Very good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is also an advantage if you have: Good knowledge of general administrative law, data protection legislation, and freedom of information and confidentiality legislation. Current and practical experience with regulatory development at a government agency. Current and practical experience with supervisory work in the public sector. Current and practical experience with EU law and EU legislation. Current and practical experience with legislative work or other statutory work. Our offer We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both at and outside of work. If you feel good, we feel good. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the opportunity for remote work. We also have generous wellness allowance and two wellness hours every week. You will also receive favorable terms for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and in case of illness. Here you will work in modern activity-based offices at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure.
