Stiftelsen Valjeviken operates mission-driven primary care, neurological inpatient rehabilitation, as well as folk high school and conference activities. Our health center Valjehälsan is part of Hälsoval Blekinge and currently has 9,200 registered patients. We are now seeking a physiotherapist for Valjehälsan. About You: We are looking for someone who is a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist. Knowledge and interest in working within primary care is desirable and a merit. We believe you are an engaged and flexible person who enjoys working both in a team and independently. As a person, you have a genuine interest in people and always keep our patients in focus. You are energetic and curious and want to develop further. We expect you to work together with your colleagues based on high competence and good patient care. In addition to a physiotherapy degree, you must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. The Assignment: We are seeking a licensed physiotherapist for our health center Valjehälsan. Working in primary care means you will meet patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and conditions, so you should feel confident in both acute assessments and work with chronic diagnoses. At Valjehälsan, in addition to the physiotherapist, there are doctors, district nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, receptionists, occupational therapists, and social workers. The initial assessment for acute injuries or pain from the musculoskeletal system is usually performed by the physiotherapist here at Valjehälsan. This also means that physiotherapists (by delegation) independently perform corticosteroid injections and write X-ray and orthopedic referrals. We also perform ultrasound examinations (after training) and offer treatment with both laser and shockwave therapy. In addition to friendly colleagues and nice facilities, we offer a short walk to the swimming facilities and lunch on the dock when weather permits.
