JOB DUTIES We are now seeking new team members for the Functional Support LSS Housing department! We're looking for someone who wants to work with the whole person and contribute to a functioning everyday life through a supportive and motivating approach. As a support assistant, you provide support and services to people with disabilities in all aspects of life. This can involve planning the week, managing the household, and accompanying people on leisure activities such as swimming or shopping in town. Your work can also include more practical support such as personal care, medication management, mobility assistance, and training. Some health and medical care tasks require delegation from a nurse, and you will receive training as part of your introduction with us. Many of those who live with us also need support in creating and maintaining relationships, as well as managing their emotions and behaviors. To thrive in the role, you need an interest in working pedagogically and the ability to recognize even small progress in everyday life. You need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to meet people where they are. It is a merit if you also have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and/or mental health challenges. QUALIFICATIONS Childcare Worker Nursing Assistant Social Pedagogue You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions, both independently and with others. You also have good initiative skills. You have the ability to handle complex situations. You remain optimistic in the face of challenges and have the ability to accept and learn from feedback. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and acknowledge and appreciate others' contributions. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, ends: 2026-08-16.
