Our headquarters and main production facility are located in Mellansel, just outside Örnsköldsvik. Here, the entire value chain is brought together under one roof – from development and design to production, sales, and service. We are on an exciting development journey with clear ambitions in growth, profitability, and efficient production. With us, you'll find a family-oriented culture and short decision-making paths combined with the strength of being part of a global corporation.
We are now seeking a Development Engineer with a focus on Materials Engineering!
About the Role
In this role, you will become one of the company's specialists in materials engineering and an important resource in developing and ensuring the quality of our products' performance. You have a genuine interest in how material properties affect strength, functionality, and lifespan, and you enjoy combining practical laboratory work with technical analysis, failure investigations, and product development.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct material investigations and failure analyses in our materials laboratory to support product development, quality assurance, and continuous improvements.
Document and communicate results, both in writing and verbally.
Participate in product teams' work on product development, product improvements, and technical analyses.
A significant portion of the work consists of conducting investigations and failure analyses in our own materials laboratory. You will also coordinate activities with external laboratories, suppliers, and internal functions, and be part of a specialist group where knowledge sharing and collaboration are in focus.
The role also includes work in our product teams where you contribute to product improvements and technical investigations. Knowledge of design methodology and experience with CAD and PDM systems are desirable. You will also be responsible for ensuring smooth operation and continued development of the laboratory.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
A degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering (materials, mechanical engineering, or equivalent).
Interest in or experience with material investigations, metallography, or failure analysis.
Strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
The position gives you the opportunity to collaborate with many other functions within the company. Since the work is carried out in cross-functional teams, the position requires good communication skills and a willingness to work together with others toward common goals.
