JOB DUTIES We are looking for a support educator/support assistant for a group home according to LSS. We welcome your application! The group home is home to six adults, each in their own apartment. As a support assistant, you provide support to residents in all aspects of life. You base your work on each person's individual needs and work deliberately to enable residents to use their abilities as independently as possible. You assist and help with daily tasks, personal care, leisure activities and social contacts. Together with your colleagues, you create a calm and stress-free environment with clear routines and predictability for everyone living in the group home. Each person has an individual implementation plan that guides the support provided. Through participation and care, we want to create opportunities for change and quality of life. The work places great demands on your ability to collaborate, take initiative and follow established routines. Your responsibilities include being attentive, having great patience and using your pedagogical skills to support and guide residents according to their individual needs. In your role as support assistant, you are expected to cooperate with residents, colleagues, family members, guardians/representatives and external contacts to work with the resident in focus. Together with colleagues and the support educator, you will also be responsible for planning and developing the operation. You will work scheduled hours during the day, evening and every other weekend. The position is filled subject to necessary decisions being made. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is trained as a support educator/support assistant or who has completed an approved care and support program/children and leisure program or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have previous experience working as a support assistant or have experience with care and/or pedagogical work. Since the work requires communication and documentation, we assume you have computer skills and master Swedish in speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have experience working in LSS operations, dementia care, low-arousal approaches and visual teaching methods, as well as knowledge of AAC.
