Caretaker at Herrfallet - Arboga

We are now hiring a caretaker for our leisure and conference facility located on a peninsula in Lake Hjälmaren, 13 km south of Arboga. We are a year-round open cottage village and camping facility with highly varied work tasks. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the area is well-maintained. The work tasks vary by season, ranging from waste management, cleaning, general caretaking duties, maintenance and repair of cottages, and more. In the spring, it involves preparing for the season; in the summer, it's about keeping up with maintenance; and in the fall, it's about preparing for winter. During winter, there may be snow removal and maintenance tasks that couldn't be completed during other seasons. Some carpentry and painting work may occur. We want you to be handy and hardworking. You should be a person with strong social skills and a sense of responsibility. You must be able to take instructions. You should be able to work independently but also collaborate in a group. You should be service-oriented, handle stress well, have an eye for what needs to be done, and be able to take initiative on your own. You may be young, and if you are "big and strong" that's no disadvantage! The position is full-time. It's an advantage to have qualifications in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work, or to have completed training in a skilled trade. Or if you have experience or grew up on a farm. You must speak and write fluent Swedish and find it easy to take instructions. Requirements: valid Class B driver's license and a car to commute to Herrfallet, which is located 14 km south of Arboga.
