The LSS housing is a stairwell model located in Brunflo, where two residents live near the staff apartment and other residents live in satellite apartments. Working hours for this position are varied and include days, evenings, overnight on-call shifts, and every other weekend. You work according to a hybrid schedule, where you have the opportunity to influence your schedule within current guidelines. We offer a permanent employment position and a temporary assignment covering 40 weeks; both positions are full-time. Start date by agreement. Your New Job As a support assistant/support person with us, you work closely with people with various disabilities and support needs. Your mission is to create security, participation, and conditions for each individual to live as independent and meaningful a life as possible. The work includes support in all aspects of daily life such as assisting with personal care and planning and carrying out activities together with residents such as shopping, cooking, and shared meals. You need to be attentive to individuals' needs, adapt your working approach based on the situation, and be flexible when circumstances change. In the operation you meet people with, among other things, acquired brain injury, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. Several residents may display impulsive or challenging behavior, which requires calm, stable, and professional interaction where you help them manage changes and situations that may feel difficult. Sometimes communication can be challenging, so it is meriting if you have experience with sign language or alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). The operation is based on empowerment and a sense-of-coherence-inspired approach, where the focus is on the individual's resources, participation, and self-determination. An important part of the work is therefore to create trusting relationships and provide support in a respectful and individually adapted manner. We place great emphasis on collaboration, reflection, and an open climate in the work team where we together develop the operation. You work closely with colleagues and cooperate with internal support functions and external care and welfare providers to ensure good support for residents. The position also includes ongoing documentation in the Viva journal system and following the operation's routines and working methods. Personal Assistants Needed for the Disability Sector Pool

The Personal Assistance Unit is currently recruiting three engaged assistants for the Disability Sector pool. We are looking for you to take the next step in your professional development and contribute your dedication in a flexible and dynamic role. As a pool assistant, you will work in a stimulating environment with excellent opportunities to develop in your professional role. The assignment involves staffing various types of personal assistance services located throughout Östersund municipality. The client base spans all ages from children to seniors, making the work both varied and meaningful. The pool's task is to cover both emergency and planned absences of up to 14 days and to serve as a resource to enhance quality of life for citizens or increase service quality. Work follows a flexible schedule with day, evening, night, and 24-hour shifts. To thrive in this role, you need to feel comfortable working independently and be prepared to work 24-hour shifts. You will work 2 out of 6 weekends, Friday through Sunday, and the schedule is planned annually every sixth week in close collaboration with your team. Longer periods can be planned during summer and Christmas. We offer a permanent position and two temporary contracts covering 6 months with potential extension. With a full-time position, you receive 14 days off during a six-week period. A probationary period will be applied, and start date is by mutual agreement. Your New Job As a personal assistant in the pool, you work in a competent team that you meet every sixth week at the unit's workplace meeting (APT), where we also have regular peer supervision. In your work, you provide support to citizens based on their individual needs and circumstances, following the activity plan for the day. You perform your duties in various settings and may work at several different locations within the municipality during a week. You help citizens manage their daily lives, provide care, and support them through various challenges both at home and in the community. You participate in activities and collaborate with everyone you meet in your work. Your assignment is to create good conditions through guidance, support, and care to enable citizens to live as independently and securely as possible. You work closely with your manager and two coordinators, who are available to support you in your assignment. The unit has a district nurse who assists you with the responsibilities that come with delegated tasks under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). You may have various types of delegations as required by the service, for example insulin administration, tracheostomy care, and feeding tubes. You also need to be able to travel to and work at locations throughout the municipality and be interested in working with all age groups, from children to our elderly.
