Description We are looking for someone interested in following up with children and young people up to 18 years old with diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, muscle diseases, hereditary metabolic diseases, spina bifida, genetic syndromes, intellectual disability, autism, and more. Our specialty is understanding what symptoms these diagnoses can cause, and preventing and treating them. We follow our patients over time to see if interventions make a difference in daily life for both patient and family. Common symptoms can sometimes manifest in unusual ways, and Habilitation can help identify these. Habilitation works in close collaboration with, among others, the Pediatric Clinic, BUP, Närhälsan, BVC, and school health services. This position is a permanent full-time employment at 100%. Duties We are looking for someone who is curious about our operations and wants to work with a great team. With us, you will be part of an experienced and dedicated nursing group that collaborates closely across clinic boundaries. Although nurses are primarily based at their respective clinics, we see ourselves as one unified group with strong collegial support and continuous experience sharing. The position is based in Alingsås and involves work in both Alingsås and Borås, with an approximate distribution of 60% and 40% respectively. Travel between clinics occurs during work hours. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with doctors, dietitians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and special education teachers, primarily with patients from the Alingsås/Borås clinic. Your duties and role will be to work closely with children/young people, parents, and other professionals to conduct assessments and analyses, and to plan and implement interventions that are subsequently evaluated. The areas that nurses in habilitation primarily work with are nutrition, sleep, epilepsy and elimination, and medication monitoring. You will have individual visits or co-booked visits with other professionals. Interventions for children/young people can be provided individually or in groups during defined periods. You will be a point of contact for medical questions within habilitation and have a coordinating role with neighboring healthcare providers. You will be offered an introductory period and collegial supervision. Qualifications You must be a licensed nurse with further education, preferably in pediatric nursing. Clinical experience in pediatric and adolescent medicine and/or pediatric and adolescent neurology is advantageous. You have the ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
