The activities consist of five sections: pharmacology, physiology, health and rehabilitation, clinical neuroscience, and psychiatry and neurochemistry. The Department of Clinical Neuroscience and Physiology is now seeking a postdoctoral researcher, to be placed at the Section for Psychiatry and Neurochemistry. At the Section for Psychiatry and Neurochemistry at Sahlgrenska Academy, neurochemical research is focused on identifying and studying pathophysiology and pathological changes in neurodegenerative diseases. Field of Research Biomarker research in neurodegenerative diseases Field Description The position is linked to the Swedish cohort study REAL AD, which validates a realistic screening method for early Alzheimer's disease and encompasses research on new and established biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease – fluid-based, imaging, and digital – in the general population. All projects are part of local, national, and international collaborations with interdisciplinary research groups led by world-leading researchers. Responsibilities The postdoctoral researcher will work on projects focusing on associations between new, digitalized methods for assessing cognition and blood-, cerebrospinal fluid-, and neuroradiological-based biomarkers for the disease's neuropathology, with the aim of detecting the earliest signs of Alzheimer's disease in the general population, based on a regional primary care infrastructure. Extensive longitudinal cognition and biomarker data are already available, complemented by register-based health-related participant data and data on sleep and viral infections. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to develop their own research projects and actively engage in writing and publishing scientific articles, presenting research at international conferences, and applying for external research funding. The position is fully funded. Qualifications Qualifications for employment as a teacher are regulated in Chapter 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and Gothenburg University's employment regulations. Eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher is someone who has completed a doctoral degree, artistic doctoral degree, or who holds a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. This qualification requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made. In the first instance, priority should be given to someone who completed their degree no more than three years before the application deadline. Those who completed their degree earlier should also be prioritized in the first instance if there are special grounds. You lead the daily work and ensure that the store offers an inspiring and professional experience for all customers. In your role as store manager, you will among other things: • Plan, lead, and follow up on daily work in the store. • Manage the store's budget and financial results. • Ensure high customer service and professional customer interactions. • Lead, coach, and motivate employees. • Manage scheduling and staffing. • Introduce and develop new employees. • Work actively to maximize sales and profitability. • Ensure inventory management and product assortment. • Be responsible for workplace environment efforts and create a safe workplace. • Perform administrative tasks and, if needed, participate in daily work as a store employee. Qualifications We are looking for you with at least 5 years of retail experience and experience managing personnel. You also have experience from the paint industry or related business, as well as upper secondary education or post-secondary education in retail, service, economics, or similar. To match our profile, you also need to have a B driver's license, good computer skills, and fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
