Your Assignment We are looking for a development engineer who wants to develop, manage and further develop our secure research environment. The environment is used for research, analysis and handling of sensitive data and is an important part of the digital infrastructure for future healthcare. You will become part of a committed team responsible for a strategically important platform that supports research and data analysis within healthcare. Together, we work to ensure that the platform is secure, stable and well-equipped for future needs. The role offers a unique opportunity to develop in an area where systems development, platform development, automation and operations meet. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and gradually take on greater responsibility for the platform's development, automation and management. We welcome both those who are at the beginning of your DevOps and platform development journey and those who already have a few years of experience. Read about our benefits at Benefits for employees - Västra Götalandsregionen To succeed in the role, you need: Relevant higher education in systems development, computer science, IT or equivalent competence Experience with systems or backend development in Python and/or Java Knowledge of Linux-based environments, container technology (such as Docker and Kubernetes), scripting development and Git and version control Experience with API development and integration and REST services, databases (such as PostgreSQL) and development, testing and troubleshooting in complex technical environments Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you have experience with: OpenShift, Tanzu or other container platforms CI/CD, automation and Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform, Helm or ArgoCD Backend development in .NET/C# and frontend development in React or similar frameworks Microservices architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD), S3-compatible storage and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or Elastic DevOps or DevSecOps practices Work within public administration As a person, you are analytical, solution-oriented and enjoy collaborating with others. You take responsibility for your tasks, enjoy sharing knowledge and have the ability to understand new technical areas.
