Waste Management Coordinator for Decommissioning

About the Role As a waste management coordinator, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on waste management within our projects. You ensure that materials and waste are handled in accordance with applicable legislation, customer requirements, and internal procedures. The role involves close collaboration with material handlers, contractors, transporters, and project management. You will have a varied day-to-day experience that includes both administrative and practical tasks. You report to the nearest waste management manager within the project. Key Responsibilities In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that daily material and waste management functions efficiently, safely, and in accordance with operational procedures. You supervise and support material handlers and coordinate the flow from decommissioning, sorting, and storage to transport out of the building. The role also involves ongoing contact with contractors, transporters, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include, among other things: Ensure correct sorting, documentation, and registration of waste streams. Order and coordinate transports as well as deliveries and returns of packaging. Identify and follow up on deviations and contribute to improvements in work methods and processes. Plan and lead coordination meetings within the work group. Actively contribute to a safe working environment and comply with applicable procedures for handling waste, including hazardous waste. Forklift and reach truck operation may occur depending on certification and operational needs. Ringhals is seeking personnel for MIAB to work in the energy sector during maintenance periods in the operation.
