As an Emergency Preparedness Officer, you will have an important role in ensuring that the municipality can handle crises, disruptions, and heightened alert levels. You will belong to the Business and Community Department at the Municipal Administration in Tingsryds Municipality. Your closest colleagues are our two Preparedness and Security Coordinators. For this role, we are looking for someone at the beginning of their career. Responsibilities In this role, you will drive and develop the municipality's work on preparedness and security. You work closely with operations, authorities, organizations, and other important societal actors to strengthen the municipality's ability to meet future challenges. With the support of colleagues, you will among other things: develop and coordinate the municipality's civil defense work create, manage, and develop emergency preparedness plans coordinate and develop the municipality's safety points coordinate work with risk and vulnerability assessments and risk analyses drive projects that strengthen the municipality's emergency preparedness capacity work with issues related to total defense work with safety-related issues collaborate with authorities, organizations, and other external actors follow up, prioritize, and develop the municipality's work within emergency preparedness and security Qualifications We are looking for a person with relevant higher education, for example in civil protection, risk management, risk engineering, political science, public administration, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have a few years of work experience in emergency preparedness and security work and need to be able to switch between strategic and operational work, adapt processes to the needs of operations, and thrive in an educational and consultative role. You have experience planning, coordinating, or implementing trainings and exercises and can drive projects independently. Since the role involves many contact points within the municipal group and external collaboration actors, it is required that you have strong communication skills and administrative competence. As a person, you are structured, responsible, and development-oriented. You thrive in a role where you can create clarity, drive issues forward, and contribute to people collaborating toward common goals. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and think strategically, while also being able to turn ideas into concrete action. You work independently and long-term, but also value collaboration and dialogue. With a secure and trustworthy manner, you build good relationships and bring others along in development work. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-12-01 Start date by agreement.
