JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The position focuses on child health services as part of a family center serving children aged 0-5 years and their parents. At the family center, we work closely with maternal health services, open preschool, and preventive social services. In Lessebo, child health services together with preventive social services offer an expanded home visit program. This means that all first-time parents are offered four home visits together with preventive social services. Through close collaboration with other professionals, we work with the best interests of the child in focus and provide comprehensive support to children and their parents. The mission of child health services is to promote children's health and development, prevent illness, and early identify and intervene when there are signs of mental, physical, and social health concerns. Supporting parents so that all parents have the opportunity to increase their knowledge about children's needs is a central part of child health work. You will be well-versed in issues related to child development, growth, vaccinations, health consultations, and parenting support. As a nurse in child health services, you will lead group parenting support where parents have the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with each other. You will be offered ongoing training to develop your professional role.
